Jennifer Carlson is a co-founder and CEO of Baby Gourmet and Slammers Snacks. As Jen and Jill’s kids approached school age, they noticed that there were very few nutritious snacks that they could feel good about giving their children and that they knew their kids would love to eat. With a busy family between school, sports, road trips and other activities, they wanted a great tasting portable, organic snack full of nutrition. Slammers was created to simplify hectic schedules by fueling the fun for active kids with mom approved nutrition and kid approved taste.
Jill Vos, co-founder and VP of Innovation & Quality of both Slammers and Baby Gourmet, and Jen’s sister, is a mom of four active kids. Growing up with a mother who believed in wholesome food and active living, Jill knew the importance of having healthy snack options that both parents and kids would love. Jen and Jill first created their popular line-up of Slammers recipes in their kitchen in 2014 with ingredients from certified organic farms and no artificial colors or flavors, and to this day, Jill still tastes every batch.
